  The NASA Funded SPACE program was developed through the North Carolina Mathematics and Science Education Network to help prepare our future STEM workforce in North Carolina. This website will be used to document our journey through this incredible pre college program! 

Strengthen the quality and increase the size of the teaching base in science and mathematics education World class professional development Continued mentoring and sharing of best practices for SPACE teachers Proper technology and training in the classrooms Access to virtual community of STEM experts to help engage students. Increase the pool of students who graduate from North Carolina's high schools prepared to pursue majors that lead to careers in mathematics, science, technology, engineering and teaching. 2 year highly engaging pre college program located on 7 university sites. Interaction with college students who serve as student guides. Collaboration with real world STEM experts and role models from across the globe. Hands on projects working with Astronomy, physics, robotics and technology. Online learning community ot expand learning from the classroom to the living room.
